Spain is not as cheap as it used to be before the "Euro" monetary system, but still cheaper than most of West European countries and still with the advantages of a well developed West Euro country.
Weather is amazing at the south and east, tons of beaches, awesome food, best party country in the world, lots of outside activities, bars etc.
Porn industry is totally legal, and in fact there are some big international adult companies and webmasters stabilized here, specially in the Barcelona area at the North East of the country and Marbella at the south.

Of course i'm biased
i wonder how conservatives didn't go nuts there, i wish it never happens though.
Speak on the spots I'm contemplating... Gonna be moving somewhere in the next 8 months for a 3 year voyage... I want it to be porn friendly and cheap...
Brazil, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica (they say that place dun got expensive per thread), Belize...
How can these places be expensive when I see TV documentaries with the locals living off $2/day?
why r u guys saying spain? do not move there unless you speak good spanish.... plus the weather isnt that great there, its not like its tropical..
anyway yeah some people might speak English, but you wont get involved and enjoy any country unless you can speak the language fluently.. ull get frustrated being lost.. i learned the hard way
ive been to costa rica many times, you'll be bored out of your mind, the internet is slow, plus some parts are rough..
Spain is not a bad choice. Porn friendly indeed. Barcelona is a good place to live all year long. It's one of the most dynamic city of western Europe which attracts many people from France, Germany, England, Sweden, etc... You won't get lost if you don't speak Spanish. It's sunny all the time BUT it's not a tropical country and from November to March the temperatures can be low. Still in winter you can go skying in the Pyrenees, only 2h away from Barcelona.

how can you not get lost in a country where the official language is spanish and you dont speak it.. you will not be able to understand millions of people, etc.. its still lost.. no fun living in a country where you cant talk to half of the people, nor understand what is being said in public settings
Dude picked up a hitchhiker.....really. I found the DR to be super cheap, the people to be really friendly, and mostly safe. Same rules apply to every country, don't walk down dark alleys by yourself, don't buy drugs off of random street people, and don't pick up hitchhikers.
my friend told me he doesn't stop at red lights after dark because you can get jacked waiting for the green....lol
i dunno many people wanting to live like that
Brazil is the gore capital of the world. One of the most dangerous places on the planet along with Mexico and the Philippines. If you feel brave, try searching for Brazil on BestGore.com, but be fucking warned, Brazil is over and beyond...

I can only comment on Costa Rica, it's not $2/day, closer to $20, but there are a lot of factors... Families all live together in the same shitty house they have owned for 50 years... so you've got 8 people all making money living for free in like a 2 bedroom house lol. Also, here you can finance absolutely anything at 48% interest and have your monthly payment dropped insanely low.
When I say it is becoming expensive, I mean the cost to maintain the lifestyle we are used to in north america is not any cheaper than it would be there, so why bother with all the bullshit of living in a third world country if you're not saving money. Import and luxury taxes make cars and electronics 2x as much, restaurants with good food and service cost more than they would in the usa... I could go on.
Locals live on the cheap because they accept a standard of living you have never even experienced before.

I find that part kind of refreshing... It's nice being able to tune people out.

Have you ever been there? We went last year and survived on my LA Spanglish (Mexico and Spain do not have the same Spanish), a couple weeks of Rosetta Stone and an English-Spanish dictionary. I was even able to get some emergency medical work done and rent a car with no translator available.
Oh, and there is this new invention out called a GPS. Works wonders.

Go to a "cheap" country and go sit in a shack of a local who lives on $2 a day while it's 85-90 degrees outside with no running water.....I've done it on NUMEROUS occasions in numerous locations....It ain't comfortable.
You won't know until you go.....
If you want somewhere that's guaranteed cheap that's chock full of hoes, try Africa.....
