FACT: Overoll ratios dropped %50 in a little over a year!
if it took you 600 uniques to make a sale a year ago, now you need 900 uniques to make a sale...thats a fact, and it will only become worse with time.
adult internet bubble about to burst.
if ratios were as good as 8 years ago, owners of domains like bigtits.com would redirect them to paysites and convert 1:150 instead of parking
about 6 years ago, I had talked to the owner of bigtits.com and he wanted like half a million for the domain name. It looks like the domain has a new owner now, and it looks like the guy also hangs out here at gfy.

I know it has a new owner, the previous owner sold livesex.com to AWE and short after it looks like he sold bigtits.com as well
I wonder how much he got for them, but it's irrelevant to this thread since its about ratios, not domains...
try doing something other than sumbmitting thumb galleries.
Another stunningly useless contribution which as usual has nothing whatever to do with the thread...

If there were an adult internet bubble, it burst at least 5 or 6 years ago, so nothing new there. Although the sky is not falling, why would you expect results to be going anywhere but south?
The growth in internet usage from countries acceptable to card processors has been slowing for several years, while competition within the industry has risen sharply. With a relatively small amount of fresh traffic to fight over, most apparent growth has come from the purchase of traffic which is near worthless either because of its source and/or because it has been recycled several times.
Whatever peoples' opinions of TGP's, they are responsible for a huge part of the adult internet traffic pool and many are now seeing only 30%-40% US traffic, instead of the 60%-70% which was common 3 or 4 years ago. Much of the non-US traffic is near worthless (see last para), but the fact remains that we gear most of our marketing, content and prices towards the US market and make little effort to maximise sales to other countries. If we had a product with less built-in universal appeal, we would be doing even worse.
In addition, the vast majority of us have spent years promoting over-priced, third-rate crap (try to come up with more than 50 or so sites on which you might actually spend your own money). Since our potential market includes a higher proportion of experienced surfers every year, it is surely inevitable that they become harder to persuade.
Fact: There will be more online porn recurrings in 2007 then EVER!
Stats might have gone down yes, but think of how many MORE with an internet connection today than 2-3 years ago.
But the scary part is that surfers are getting much much smarter. Torrents and p2p and forums can bring you SHITLOADS of free porn (full dvd's, pics and even games)

That's a bit strange statement. I have a rather enough paysites to compare the stats, and I could notice just a slight variation in ratios for last 2 years. They ratios have changed on +/- 10%, but ratios on at least two paysites have enev improved on almost third comparing with past 3-4 months. So I really don't see a straight dependence there.
P.S. I don't name my sites here to don't make this post look like a banal spam. The numbers above are just my own private statistics.

Why should anyone use torrents and other p2p clients if there are many other 100% legal ways to watch porn for free? For example, everyone know there are free porn at thehun.net (a way much more than on any single paysite) you don't have to pay for
My ratios were better in '06 than they were in '05... so far this year i'm at 1:550, not bad at all IMO. I'm probably just getting better at picking what I promote though.
ps. see sig, that's my actual ratio with radical so far on tgp traffic... far from 1:900
