Shap.. the sites are worth more than what I'm asking for.. were leaving the adult marketing business for 2 main reasons.
1. We have 3 kids now.
2. I'm tired.
there is no Chance the sites will die off in 2010-2011 as you say.. the market is evolving and would be dominated by cell phones and other hand held devices, you just need to adjust.. I don't have to tell you this since I know your game for years and your adjusting all the time.
When I opened my site at 2002 the main talk on the board was that tgp's are dead.. and look it's 2010 and I'm still game.
As you know "only" joggs.com from all the sites / paysites / domains I'm selling is active since 2002 and at the high times was making more than $xxx,xxx a month alone.
In the right hands.. let me say that again... IN THE RIGHT HANDS, the network will make a large amount of money.
Yes the network is a bit neglected now days due to lack of time and other business.. but the potential is HUGE.. and don't forget it is making nice income right now, that 85% of this board only dream of.DeadComment

Robbie you have comprehension skills - NOBODY in this thread doubted Yigal has a valuable network in his niche. You're acting like everybody was putting him and his properties down like he's a nobody or a bs artist - nobody did that. EVERYBODY however is in agreement that nobody is paying 3 years earnings for ANYTHING in adult. It's only his asking price that has come under attack.I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. Shap, I agree that it makes no sense to spend that much on a TGP. I would not place the value solely on his income or current business plan. If you have upper $xxx,xxx the site generates traffic in a very profitable niche. The site has earned front page listings for very profitable search terms. Take the business plan to the next level if you have the skills and sky's the limit.

Btw I've always been interested in your network. You've done great. The problem is it's not about what you've created as much as it's about an uncertain market. Companies are afraid to invest huge money in acquisitions. Why? Because of the uncertainty of where things are going. From tubes to credit cards to economy. There is so much uncertainty and that is why getting 3 years will be difficult.Comment

It all depends on the 24 month traffic, revenue, and profit trend. I would take that trend do worst case scenario and then value it out what it would be worth to me.
If traffic, revenue and profit have been 100% steady over the past 24 months. Without knowing anything else and knowing it does $50k a month in profit I'd say $500k to $750k range.Comment

There will always be some money to be made with TGP but it's going to be on the decline over the next few years. I agree w/ Shap having one of the larger companies that can afford to take the risk is your your best shot.Comment

I can see the attitude. But in reality, he says he's making $50k a month and looking for high xxx,xxx . So, if we take 900,000 as that xxx,xxx, he's selling for 18 months, which is within the logical parameters for this kind of sales. It beats me why are you "3 years this, 3 years that" when simple maths say it's around 18 months.
Of course, this applies if he's making 50k a month, if it's 30 or so, then yes, it's close to 3 years.
Either way, I wish the seller good luck, I'm damn extremely poor so I've no business here

I only know Shap by reputation and based on that I would go out on a limb here and say his business acumen is not something to belittle. with catch phrases like "right now the network is neglected" and "in the right hands the network will make a large amount of money"
should give buyers pause. When you're buying an online business @ 3 years earnings, it should be absolutely turn key and run at the same high level without the old owner. if not, well.......I'm not a dinosaur, I'm a crocodile. I've seen dinosaurs come and go and I'm left unimpressed.Comment

ok minimouse dont take it the wrong way, ive made a killing on mainstream, a lot more than what you are making now per month... and i've been on a buying spree buying up mainstream websites....
With that said, you will not get 3 year profit for your site... I know you think a startup company will be a good fit for this BUT the problem is the startup company does not have $xxx,xxx, neither will they be willing to invest in it.. its just too much of a risk..
So lets say i buy your site, and in october i notice google has wiped my listings, and also i notice the billing companies start scrubbing harder? then what?
My best estimate is that it may take 5yrs+ to recoup the money, and thats just a bad investment for that kind of money...
I'd lower my asking price if I were you.. Listen to what Shap is saying.. There are only a HANDFUL of people/companies who can even afford this at all, and those guys will not be willing to pay 3 years $$..
if your sites were selling for say $50k TOTAL, then you'd have a broader market, and maybe some huge risk taker will dump the $50k and buy it, but you are selling your websites in the high $xxx,xxx range which eliminates 99.99% of adult companies/buyers, and the ones who can buy are just not willing to dump that kind of money when shit has not been going well and revenues/sales are on the decline...
