    My house smells like fucking Hong Kong

    I tried making fried rice today in a Wok I got for Xmas. Put in that fucking nasty ass Wok oil and now my house smells like Hong Kong. I dont know how these asian people live with the smells of that shit. Fuck asian food.

          Did you season the wok first?
          Can I also assume you used peanut oil or was it something else?

          I rarely get odd smells when cooking with the wok. Just bursts of chili, garlic, onion, ect. Never can I recall the oil smelling funny unless it starts to burn.

                  "wok oil"... haha. Next time just get peanut oil and get it over with. Also, if you are going to cook stir fry, make sure you have good ventilation, and be prepared to wipe down everything in your kitchen regularly, as the oil turns to smoke, and carries small droplets all over the place.

                  Without ventilation, wok cooking is pointless.
