    XXX Copywriters

    Hello All,

Well I finally put my site together and would love to hear what you guys and gals think here at GFY.

You'll notice there is not a bunch of flashy graphics and whatnot, but then again xxxcopywriters.com doesn't offer web design and graphics but rather SEO and Copywriting solutions for the adult industry.

Any and all opinions as to what you think and what could be done differently about the site is appreciated.

I intend to eventually put up some testimonials from the clients I have done work for to increase the credibility of both the company as well as the work we do.

I look forward to hearing the opinions and comments you all have and hope to possibly work with some of you in the future.

xxxcopywriters.com wishes you all tons of success in the new year!

I really don't mean to be rude, but are you serious?

That looks like someone did it in Frontpage 8 years ago, with images they nicked from an image library.

I love simple clean sites. I see what you are shooting for, but imho, you miss it by a long way.

The copy is also not great. Your first paragraph and main sales point is that your in depth experience means that client's jobs get done on time? Not really much of a sales point. That is really the LEAST I would expect!

You also have hyperbole in there. Good copy isn't the main thing to get traffic to a site, is it? A good domain, title tags and excellent links are as important, if not more important.

More visitors doesn't guarantee more cash. What if all the visitors are from china, or have no credit card?

Does "Native American" not mean like American Indian?

After Canadian you do not need the comma.

"to have your site rank(ing) well. "

    (ing)? Really?

Sorry to sound harsh, but you asked for opinions. I wouldn't use you based on this site. The design looks homemade and the copywriting is weak, imho.

Obviously this is subjective and just my opinion. But you asked for it.

i appreciate both your opinions. I did prepare myself for the harshness of some of your comments and that is exactly what i am looking for.

I decided on a template site for the simple reason that i am trying to sell SEO and Copywriting solutions not that of web design or graphics.

In the copy where it refers to native American, Canadian, and British English speakers as our staff, it does specifically say speakers which i had hoped people would not misunderstand as American Indians, but also a go point.

There is no need for a comma after Canadian, but it doesn't as well make it wrong that i used it there. Writing is very subjective.

Again I do really appreciate the honest opinion as i am trying to improve my site. I am trying to stay away from making it to flashy as I want that the focus stay on Copywriting.

Thanks and hope to hear more of your comments regarding the site!

Brilliant. How refreshing! It's really good to see someone not getting sulky because someone else thinks their site could be improved!

And that is a fine decision to make. However, you need to think about how people perceive you. If it looks like your shop is just a trestle table you borrowed and threw an old sheet over, then is it going to be the BEST place to find QUALITY? Unlikely.

                First impressions count.

Grammar isn't subjective. And you never put a comma before the word 'and'.

No one is suggesting flashy, but just make it look like you spent more than five bucks on it.

Damian J thank you again for your comments. The reason for me creating the thread was to get the insight of those that have been in the industry for some time and that as well have more experience.

My goal is to make my site more appealing to the type of clients i am looking for and i am hoping to receive more opinions so that i can achieve my goal of doing so.

Thanks again Damian J From one professional to another your opinion is very much valued!

                            right where to begin

                            1) i wouldnt even read your copy, your layout and colour scheme is so bad i would have bounced back immediately

                            2) you claim to be an adult SEO, yet your on site SEO is of a very low standard, your html is poor and I don't want my pro SEO to be using a templated web page. that fills me with zero confidence.

                            3) even if i was to think about reading your copy, its not compelling. The first sentance is boring. it doesnt compel me to keep reading.

                            4) you mention 'we'. Either you mean 'I' or have a 'meet the team' page so i know you arent an I.

                            5) Don?t fall victim to English as a second language copywriting. - jesus h christ. I hope your being sarcastic.

                            6) A trusted name in SEO and Adult Copywriting - who is?

                            7) if I was crazy, I would want to contact you. How? Where is your contact form clearly linked too so i dont have to think?

                            8) Prices? I don't see any.

If you aren't a web site designer, go to the pros. Budget for around $500-1000 US and get a decent site designed for you.

If you have the skills, then you can easily earn that back.

Damian said it good, well, KingRed added pointers to stick to, correct. If you are limited to hire a web designer, just go get a good FREE / cheap wordpress template and use it.
