What does that have to do with the rep being a female? Seems to me that allowing affiliates or not would be a decision left up to the boss/owner.

It was just a misinterpretation. You speak at least one more language than I do, so who am I to point fingers?

Is it a bad move? It all depends. If I had a product that was pretty unique, and I was set up to generate my own sales, then I don't know that I would run a re-seller program. As with most things in life, there are both advantages and disadvantages of having one.

SpicyM - by saying they don't allow reselling, perhaps she/they are closing the door to some other channel of distribution. Basically, there are different ways you could resell their product, but online is not one of them.
