    Watching one of the most Racist movies of recent decades on Cinemax RIGHT NOW

    i'm 39 yrs old. i've had this movie on DVD for forever... i love David Allen Greer as well... i've seen this movie 100's of times probably and i'm not sure it ever occurred to me that there are no white, chinese, mexican etc in the movie. Only black people.

    Everyone in their office building is black. receptionists, extras, board members etc etc etc. only black people at events and meetings. every executive is black. even the extras on the street.

    funny.

    kinda wrong in a backwards kinda way

                                  haha... the only white people in Boomerang... in the expensive mens suits store - where the manager acts stupid and like he's going to get robbed - just because they are in the store and are black and he's assuming no one can pay for anything or has enough money (in spite of them all be super well groomed and well dressed anyway).

                                      thats a tricky movie to watch in a theater in your neck of the woods... depending on which neighborhood your in. ranier valley, south center, sea tac etc... you best just pretend you don't find any of his remarks humorous at all. issaquah, redmond, bellevue etc - totally fine. basically you're safe to appreciate it on the east side or at home

                                          I have commented on this time and time again. When blacks make a blatant all black movie they are doing it for their people. When a white man makes a blatant all white movie it is racist.

                                          Riddle me this... Black actors have taken some of the greatest sitcoms or movies in American history and changed all the characters black. Two movies right off hand are, The Honeymooners and Guess Who.

                                          Me personally, I didn't find anything offensive about that, I found Guess Who pretty funny. BUT... What I DO find offensive is this: what do you think would happen if a bunch of white actors got together and decided to make all white versions of say Good Times, Sanford and Son, or The Jeffersons?

                                          I think we all know.

                                                  Funniest thing. I watched it here at home. I never wanted to watch it in theater or nothing as I didnt think it was going to be the movie that it was.

                                                  Then Clint starts throwing around zipper head and every name in the book like nothing else and im like WTF!!! Im not racist but I love a good altercation over anything. from afar of course so what a perfect movie.

                                                  My best friend is black so he decided to come over half way through and i rewound it just to the "spooks" part where hes telling those black dudes off, saving the girl.

                                                  Thats just how I roll...

                                                      Err! they did, or at least with Sanford and Son (i've never heard of the other two), its a remake of one of the best British sitcoms ever made, Steptoe and Son. So really your American version is a black remake of a white British original
