How often do you drink?

I'm a weekend alcoholic

I haven't had any alcohol for over 10 years. I'm not a sociable person and don't like to go to parties and drink, I don't like clubbing or the bar/partying scene. So I don't see the reason or a need to drink? I don't really see a point in drinking by myself. What's the point of waking up with a hang over?? How is that supposed to be pleasurable?

I have other ways to "Escape" from the world that don't involve drinking or drugs. I receive more pleasure from buying things, as in real tangible objects that can be seen or touched. The state of being drunk is something intangible that can't be seen. I really don't see a point to it, or why it would be necessary.

I personally wouldn't get anything out of drinking. What would I have to gain? I only like to do things when I get something out of it.

I don't smoke either and never tried pot before in my entire life. I don't see what the point is. Or what I would get out of it... I'd rather spend my money on something that can be seen and something others can see. I know people can "See" alcohol or drugs, but I mean something that improves me or makes me look better. It's hard to explain.

I am just an occassional drinker.

I used to drink out of stress, frustration and boredom.

Now I go out and get ripped to reward myself, when I get a project done or a new client.
Works out better that way, and it's a lot less often, and a lot more fun.

I drink every other day and if there's no occasion, I don't.
