Trust me, if you're just living your life as an ordinary American citizen, this means absolutely nothing to you. Now if you're a terrorist, international or domestic, a few more people are going to be after you.

The same people afraid of Obama's move were cheering the Patriot Act.

If Bush had made this decision it would be the left complaining. Obama made it and the right is complaining.

Other countries have been a part of INTERPOL for years without any problems. America has just gotten on board.

The Obama administration believes in working with other countries and has dropped the "you're either with us or against us" crap that Bush piled on to make the rest of the world hate us.

I like to think that Obama is building International consensus. We will still have the same number of enemies, but maybe we'll gain some allies.

Trust me, with as much as we fucked up our own economy, causing a ripple effect in others, we REALLY need friends right now. We are not in a position to burn bridges.
