Monsanto and McD's already fed us their potato that produced it's own pesticide by genetic manipulation, didnt they? People may not even be old enough to remember that, lmao. They quietly phased it right back out when people learned of it.
It was mentioned in "The Botany of Desire" that ran on PBS a month or two ago. A really nice show about a few crops that mankind really loves. Apples, Tulips, Marijuana and Potatoes.
