LMAO, so what does the guy expect? OMG MY HEAD IS SPINNING COZ I WAS BEING A SHADY ASSHOLE AND NOW IM FUCKED..a gambling addict has a bank account and is continually moving around 10's of thousands of dollars to make illegal sports bets and gamble in online casinos, both of which are illegal - and the bank is concerned... and somehow that strikes you as being odd?
you might worry about whats next. i seriously doubt the bank is your biggest problem right now. i don't see any possible situation where they suspect illegal activity and take direct action without reporting it to authorities at the same time.

When they closed the accounts of SilverCash several years ago (with no notice so most affiliate checks bounced) solely for being an "adult" company, I called and they told me they don't do business with anyone in the adult industry or the liquor industry.

They said, and this bitch said it like she was a teacher and I was a kid in 2nd grade who got in trouble.
"We have been montoring you and you have been engaging in illegal activities"
Then she told me Gambling was Illegal......
WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON??????????

and what if the gov says one day you cannot spend your hard earned $ on porn... then what..what's wrong with some of you people?
"freedom" doesn't mean "free to break the law". "freedom" doesn't mean "Do anything you want". you can't spend your hard earned money on a machine gun right? you can't spend your hard earned money on a small nuclear bomb. you can't spend your hard earned money on heroin... you can't spend your hard earned money gambling online.
the reasons for that are those little annoyances to some of the kids out there called "laws". do you understand how regulated banks are? the rules they have. they laws they have to follow? they don't get to pick and choose which clients they allow to break the law using their bank to facilitate the transactions.

your fucking clueless idiot
1. offshore sites are legal, in fact online gaming is legal is almost all of the world, public on the UK stock exchange and other places
2. it should be the choice of the customer where to spend his money or where not to - saying you cannot spend $ for online gambling in the privacy of your own home can be a slippery slope in the future - what if they say no more porn as a next step?
3. this whole online / offline gambling argument is politically and religiously driven for the most part - also there is a push from the land-based gaming community to ban online ONLY because it helps their bottom line - not because of any moral issue

So much misinformation
Online gambling is/was only illegal in a few states hence the reason for the new bill; which hasn't even come into effect yet.
You just have to check out the Peter Dicks of Sportingbet case in New York. He was released by a judge as he broke no laws in New York State.Last edited by yys; 12-29-2006, 06:44 AM.Comment

I was always under the impression that it really depended on who was interpreting the law.. There was nothing specific banning online offshore gambling, but many considered it to be under the umbrella of other statutes, while others didnt. Dont know if there had ever been a real precedent set, when it comes to offshore online gambling. I need to read up on some of this stuff. So much misinformation

Account wagering has been illegal in the US for more than a few months. It is, and will continue to be, the cornerstone of the legal and criminal cases that come to trial.
You can bet all you want to -- you can play poker -- you can do whatever -- without account gaming. Once you deposit money into an account, or have an account created that would store your winnings and allow you to bet with them, you have then created an account.
That is illegal.Comment

I suspect you have much experience with that... except your "men in yellow coats" said "praise xxx church" over and over again.

that doesn't make sense.. how can something be illegal if it hasnt been done yet..
The creation of the account isnt illegal. The facilitating its use to gamble is.hatisblack at yahoo.comComment

damn that sucks man, I hope u get it all back.
Living here in Vegas, I seen a sign at the casino that allows you to bet on sports using the internet, and I'am guessing that you have to live in the state of Nevada.
Good Luck, time to make some changes, but I'am wondering of what they did it 100% legal.Comment

2. it should be the choice of the customer where to spend his money or where not to - saying you cannot spend $ for online gambling in the privacy of your own home can be a slippery slope in the future - what if they say no more porn as a next step?

#3 is your opinion.Comment
-
#1 is a fact outside of the US. The fact that it is legal to smoke pot in Amsterdam doesn't mean you can deal on a street corner in Jersey City.
#2 is a total opinion.
#3 is politically slanted spew, likely learned from watching cable news. Political opinion isn't a fact.
As I said, the judges would split a gut listening to you.Comment

then you bounce from board to board braging about how much money you spend on XYZ ETC ETC
....dude you are the weakest link
someone really needs to take this guy under their wing and teach him basic day to day life management
then instead of you turning of the fucking computer and dealing with your issues....you post a play by play on GFY

TD Canada Trust froze and then reversed a $15K wire on me, then another $10K. They never provided a good reason they literally said "we cannot be certain of the source of your funds so we are terminating our banking relationship with you". I know the real reason was some teller didnt like the look of me and money laundering laws are just as Nazi in canada too.OMGzorz!!11111eleven11111111111oneoneoeneoneoneeeo en :upidedowComment

It states in both Wells Fargo and BofA's TOS that they do not do business with adult companies.
It usually is up to your branch manager and many times they will ask you to not mention what you do and if your rep knows what you do and not the branch manager they may ask you to call their cell and shit like that. It's crazy what you have to do in order for someone to TAKE your money.Comment

OK here's the deal and update to what’s going on. All Joking Aside….
As many of you know, I own a deli.. A casino video poker deli.. With slot machines and video poker in it.
It is LEGAL here in this state.. In fact they are state leased and managed machines.. Licensed and legal.. 83% of the revenue of this Deli comes from Video Poker revenue..
Of which this biz has its banking done at B of A...
It has taken some time to explain to them that yes indeed the account there was used for gaming income. But LEGAL gaming income.. As licensed by the state.. Thus they have no right to close this account for "gambling" as the lumped this all into.. For it was LEGAL...
As for the credit cards like the World Series of Poker Visa they gave me, yes that will be closed.. It was used for what is now considered illegal online gambling. There is no excuse for that and I have accepted this.. No excuses from me on this.. Funny how its a "poker" credit card issued to me when I was in Las Vegas playing in the world series of poker, but all joking aside it is something I can live with.
As for the other accounts, we are filing an appeal which im confident will turn out just fine..
Time will tell.
This has been a learning experience to say the least.
