again... as i said, up until a few years ago, i was well aquainted with laws in russia regarding porn. i am well aware of who sells it, where and how. i am well aware of the fact that there as sites online that sell videos (as there has been since day 1 of the internet in russia). i am aware of the fact that people produce porn and are increasingly open about it. i am aware of the fact that NTV Plus, has porn (the law at the time did not cover that as digital broadcasts and satellite tv did not exist when the laws were written) just as the laws do not cover live video chat since nothing is being stored, printed, published and distributed. i am aware fo the fact that hotels show hardcore porn... and aware of the fact that its legality had never been established and that it was something that was debated in GosDuma. having worked in russia for 10 years, i am also aware of the fact that you can do just about anything for a price... i was one of those people doing it.
all of your bullshit has nothing to do with the law and what the law says. if you don't know... say you don't know. posting a link to a site that sells DVD's is not proof of its legality... no more than the fact that you can buy pirated software or DVD's in any market or store is proof of its legality.
one of the first and original guys in St Petersburg to produce hardcore porn did it legally and challenged it in court. but he did so by fighting to have it classified as "erotica" based on its plots, story lines, characters etc and proved the artistic merit of it (i.e. he paid people and got a judgement). I believe he even got permission at one time to shoot a porn film in the winter palace (in 1999 or so) based on those same arguments... but you surely know all this.Comment

look dipshit. are you totally fucking retarded or what? are you aware of a thing that used to exist called The Soviet Union, the fact that it disolved and the fact that that even rendered almost the entire body of law that existed in Russia during Soviet times, 100% irrelevant almost overnight?.. that as they were writing a new Constitution, creating a new legal system and creating a new body of federal laws, that many holes were left, many laws existed that directly contradicted other laws and that the entire process of bringing things up to speed was a very long and imperfect one and a very chaotic time.
I seriously doubt that much in the way of the legality of "porn" has changed there in the last 3 years. the law clearly states that production and distribution of pornography is illegal. thats a fact. there are ways to work in the gray area of "erotica" and be legal on paper. just because you find people doing something ... does not change what the law says.Comment

Most of them are bad photogaphers. And the models (if compared to well paid american models) look like a second hand Civic next to a brand new Lexus. I mean, I hate badly treated skin, not bleached pimply asses and terrible make ups. Also, all the staging sucks. If you ordered custom content from some content provider based in Russia and it was looking bad it doesn't matter that all content providers in Russia are bad photographers. I will go thru all my photos that i took recently and will post them today or tomorrow.
And you will see that not al the photographers from Russia are bad.

They are a bit but that's not the problem.
This is the biggest route problem and cause. It's an "In General" statement
SPONSORS ARE NOT PREPARED TO PAY ENOUGH TO GET DECENT WORK.
That's it pure and simple.
A good pornographer is not going to work for the peanuts MOST sponsors are prepared to pay for custom work. The prices the pay and expectations they have do not allow good pornographers to produce good work.
Plus there is far more money in running a paysite than there is in shooting custom for some multi millionaire who will blow $20,000 pouring drinks down the throats of affiliates, but will not spend $20,000 on the content for a paysite.
Most sponsors want 5 scenes set+video for under $2,000. How do you shoot good porn for these prices and more importantly WHY DO SHOOT FOR PEANUTS.
In two year I with little to no traffic skills have built a site to a 1,000+ membership, with content sold via the content stores, content sold to magazines, content sold on DVD. Average return on a solo girl scene is over $1,500. So why are some sponsors only prepared to pay $400 for a product that is easily worth more?
AND WHY THE FUCK DO THEY COMPLAIN THEY CAN'T GET $1,500 QUALITY FOR $400?
The real question is "Why do sponsors pay so little and do business with newbie shooters. For the very and only product the surfers really want and will pay for?"
Answer, they're cheap.

Look at it like this.
A custom shooter working two days a week, at some of the prices some are prepared to pay. Is very lucky to make more then $1,000 a week profit, after ALL expenses. That may sound a lot to some or you but not to a skilled pornographer capable of shooting good porn.
You want great porn, then you're looking at well over $75,000 a year in wages after deductions. You want cheap porn, then you're looking at using "Newbie Russians" who are still honing their skills.
Sorry if this sounds a little arrogant but it's the harsh truth, you pay peanuts you get monkeys. So don't complain if their work are bananas.
The sites Mutt posted are not shot by Newbies and I seriously doubt they are guys working for peanuts.Comment

Would a solo girl scene, set and video, you sell for $400 sell via brokers 20 times at $50? Even at that number you make $500 on the scene and still retain copyright.Comment
