#1 Free Host?
Hello everyone! I was just wondering if you guys know any good free hosts that don't have any banners, popups, etc.... I was using thunderfree till they put banners on my site. Thanks alot.

Smutserver's headers and footers are really small and they have the best reputation for being rock solid. I'd go with them.Comment

My current favorite is <a href=http://www.xfreehosting.com>Xfreehosting</a> -- nice little text banners, ftp access, and pages loading zippy fast.
But smutserver is also worth waiting for. Banners a little bigger and pages perhaps a smidge slower, but still WAY faster than, for example, thunderfree.Offering sponsored blog posts and custom writing services.Comment

Coolness.com is NOT bannerless, however, we give our webmasters the option to "Buy-Out" the headers and footers on their account for a nominal base subscription price and a monthly recurring fee (Via PayPal).

I know it sounds money grubbing, but some logic went into it.
If we host domains for everyone, and for some reason, a TGP banns that domain name because of OUR headers and footers, we do not want to be responsible for the blacklisting of our customers domains (because of our headers).

the free hosts listed are fine, great for tgp galls etc, you make $, they make $....but you cant base your online presence on a free host
try paying for your b/w then you wont have headers, footers, popups or anything else you dont want
