It seems there use to be a policy on GFY that there could only be 4 contest going at any given time and you had to buy a top spot. I noticed a few days ago it looked like 10 - 12 contest threads on the front page and some of them go on for months and i don't think they were all buying top banner space either.

Contest are part of the problem. The affiliate companies who buy sig space from sig whores are the other part of the problem.

I think there are two different things

First, I think there are alot of people that would like others to know a little more about them. It's tough to tell the world what you are about without bragging and usually, if you do try to tell everyone what you are about, when you do it comes off the wrong way. Most people think Sleazy is a dick but in person he's not only a very generous, kind, funny guy but he is also very smart and a great guy to talk biz with. It's tough to get the msg out to people what you are about on gfy. So i think these people would like a way to get that word out anyway possible. This thread just happens to use the Ambush tag to do it but definitely proves people are interested in letting others know about themselves.

Second I think the Ambush interviews that you have are a good way for people to not only get to know someone better but learn something about the industry and the history of it.

I don't think any of the people who replied here wanted to be abmushed by you. Your ambushes are more about drama and blowing people. What I started is a way for people to explain who they are and what they do. "ambush" was just used to give it a little attention, since people recognize that phrase.

Adultwhoswho doesn't allow you to fill out a lot of info. It basically allows you to put your picture, give the name of your business, and pick which is your favorite drink. It all depends on how you define "success". If a successfull person to you is talking to 30 people and they all know the person, then no I am not sucessful.

If owning a program, throwing parties, or being well know by others defines sucess then I would say I am a nobody.

If generating over 18,000 signups a year, for the last several years. Or never have scammed or cheated anyone. Is not sucessfull to you then I am not sucessful either.

as us newbs who are interested in reading about the proffesions dont care if they got drunk at a party, but how they came to be recognised to have the privalage of being ambushed.

Because that is what it is all about with Sleazy. Who's blowing who, how cool you are. How many drinks you bought at the party. how many people know you, etc... He massagges people egos and they all "know him", so it makes him feel important.

I prefer to stick to business and relevant facts about people. What he is doing is more for entertainment, which is fine if you are into that. I wish there is someting we could do that would be informative and business related.
