yep..I had a Subaru Brat when I was 16-17. The 1st jump was accidental, I just came over a small hill a little fast and got all 4 wheels airborne...it was too much fun, so it kinda became a weekly thing to do at our party spot in the desert..load up a cpl guys in the back and catch air..we used to bet noobs beer that I could jump the brat 20ft, nobody believed it till they saw it, but we won a lot of beer...lol Typical teenage stupidity..and in the end the Brat was never really the same afterward..I replaced CV joints 3 times in a yr and it would never align properly.
I had a lot of fun in that Brat, it would 4 wheel just about anywhere I wanted to go, was excellent in the sand and on occasion would out do the guys in the big trucks. I miss that Brat...lolComment

There's a tiny bridge in my home town that is basically a hump and a few guys would hit it to see if they could get airborne and a few did. One crazy kid jumped his mom's 4 Dr. Lincoln Towncar. That was before video and I didn't take any pictures because I didn't want to encourage them but some of the jumps were legendary
Personally, I never tried to jump it but one time a friend and I were driving across the everglades on the old " alligator alley " early one morning before it was daylight in his grandmother's Pinto. There in front of us was a gator lying in the road stretched across our entire lane and then some. My friend was driving and didn't react in time and we hit the gator straight on at about 50 mph. The Pinto got airborne but we landed ok and thankfully my friend kept the car straight.

in high school with some friends we drove over a very "steep" railroad crossing on a country road doing 60-80 miles per hour. all 4 tires left the ground but not for too long. the front doors wouldn't open without forcing them afterwards. it was just a shitty k-car.you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..Comment

I jumped over a bridge at about 70 to 80 mph and left the ground through a town..... Damn, its got myself & my mates buzzing! A nissan bluebird turbo... was very fucking thrilling!Comment

yep, took my last gf's car and jump a set of steep RR tracks while listening to the Dukes Of Hazzard Theme. I've done it in my parents minivan in Seattle when I was in highschool. The crash of the suspension when it reaches full travel is one HELLOFABITCH... the *SLAM* right as the van gets airborn was quite unexpected.
After seeing a few roll-over death videos on some of the tube sites from kids jumping their cars... I am really glad I never attempted it again.Comment
