Best you can do man is get the dog into obedience school and passed of course. Then you can see about getting it into a certified training school with a letter from the instructor. Though it is only going to help a tiny amount. The stats and notoriousness are just against you.

With the obedience school and training school (socialized would be best). You then would want to ensure you have a leash that is certified to hold that weight of a dog, perhaps a neck chain or choker that forces obedience and is also certified for your dogs size and weight. Lastly you would want to keep your dog in a muzzle anytime it is outside.

Even with all of that, you will be held to any laws, regulations, and whatever a city, county, state, country, or even landlord has in effect against your dog. Oh and you would want to pick up insurance that covers any actions your dog does.
