The one day sig market was a response to all the bullshit "I sale sig" threads. It happened like maybe 3 times (and thats a guess). I wanna say it was early in '04 but don't hold me to that.
Once a month there was a pinned thread put up where people publicly whored. The rules were strictly enforced and anyone who tried to sell outside the time window got banned. They also publicly SOLD so you knew exactly how broke certain people were. I imagine the latter is why the whole thing didnt last long.
It was highly amusing to say the least.Comment

I understand that. I sell mine every month, but I make a respectable chunk of change for it.
What you had on the One Day Market were people who claimed to be rolling in cash actually getting into snippy fucking arguments over 50 bucks. Seriously.
That's why it was so entertaining.

on a serious note, there aren't msany companies mass buying sigs anymore
AWE is the only one that comes to mind.... ah there's also TCG but they don't get new posters as far as i know, they simply renew their deals with the ones they bought 3 years ago ( one of them is outsourced BTW )
other than that, some companies buy sigs just for 1 month when they have a promo, but don't renew them
so the sig market is dead unless you're Juicy or unless you send a lot joins to a company, in that case they would gladly buy your sig if you wanted to sell it probably
so todays sig market would be idiots with 2000 posts bumping each others threads and looking got get $100 per month tops or 15 cents per postI don't use ICQ anymore.Comment

oh AdultAlchemy was buying sigs two months ago.... and just few days ago i saw some poster ( Nicky to be exact ) selling his sig again, cause they didn't renew their deal - they bought the sigs only for 1 month just like I said
