To those who may have to get jobs in the future, those with jobs, and others just keep it in mind. People pay big bucks to data mining companies. Those are huge companies that have wild amounts of very valuable data to people willing to pay for it. As it stands over a half of all employers in the US publicly admit that they check social sites of pre hires as well as employees on a regular basis. Only a matter of time before companies start figuring out peoples nicknames or buying nickname email associations from assorted large boards.

Even if you plan on staying in the industry. What if it tightens up so affiliate use is restricted or if you want to get a job with a company. Think they may go look to see what you may have said about others in the business or even them? Ever wonder why someone was interested in your services for awhile then got instantly cold with you? Ever stop to think that perhaps they did not like shit you had posted online?

Go ahead pretend that since your in adult your above that. That it is just a form of censorship and bull shit. That people should not judge others on such matters and if they do fuck them. Who cares.
Fact is, the shit does happen and could come back to hurt you latter.

Just look around, databases and consumer data mining is crazy. Sure it was nice when some company was able to send you your favorite type of beer without even having to ask you thanks to data mining. It becomes something else when they deny you credit because they noticed you started to shop at the 99 cent store recently and hadnt in the past.
