I fail to see how this attack will change anything. Half of the population is already quite happy to kill brown people based on past provocations and the other half firmly believes that this attack just proves we need to appease the brown people and hope they will stop hating us. From articles i read (yes, i realize you believe its all government fed info but anyways..) there were many warning signs about this guy years ago. Even fellow students had complained about him supposidly justifying suicide bombers, etc. The guy was going to be deployed, didn't want to go, hired a lawyer to try to get out of the army. That didn't work and shortly after went on a killing spree. I don't know exactly what to make of it but if you look for the boogey man around every corner, I guess you'll start seeing him everywhere.you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..Comment

Did he now? Where is this mythical lawyer and why didn't the American Muslim Armed forces organization hear anything about it? Everyone around his that knew him "personally" seems to be saying something completely different than the "picture being painted". Even the stop at the convenience store shows a happy go lucky guy going about his day. He thought he was being deployed. He gave away all his belongings as many do. He was going about things just like many others.. And what about the "other suspects" where are they now? What are their names? We have eyewitness accounts from a high ranking military official saying he saw this other suspect being detained and taken away by men in suits.... Who and where are they? The army is hungry for mental health professionals. There are many positions sitting vacant because there is simply no one to fill them. They may have wanted to overlook certain things because they needed him to fill gaping holes. Either way, you make a good point. Why would they use someone of such high rank as a patsy? Why not some nobody private that had a lot of trouble in his past, I'm sure there are plenty of those. There are many other muslims who are serving in the armed forces. Why this guy, if it is all a conspiracy...you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..Comment

He was the perfect manchurian candidate. He fits into so many stereotypes. He's a well educated career soldier which doesn't fit the typical scenario and makes everyone suspicious who also happens to be Palestinian decent and Muslim religion which do who can also be tied to "al-qaeda." Traumatic brain injury.. Even if he does come back around you can bet he won't remember what happened that day. But I'm sure there will be some great psychologists by his side to help him along though if possible..
I had a accident as a kid myself where I was knocked unconscious for several hours and had a bad concussion in intensive care for several days which is nothing compared to his injury I'm sure. To this day I still personally don't know what happened. I had to be told by witnesses. I have no memory of a good bit of time prior to and after the accident.
