    I need some assistance with ICQ

    HUGE computer crash today. I have recovered everything BUT when I start ICQ it is in a new profile. All the ICQ data is here and I want to import the contact list info into the ICQ in the new profile. It is ICQ 2000b. Any suggestions?

    Before you fuckers get started on the fact that I am running an old version... I have heard horror stories about the new versions.

                          Pretty nice of them to notify me that my cart would be down. Bastards. Oh well, on the bright side, by the time I am through bitching at them I will have 6 to 12 months free service.

                                  No good. Only restored the 6 people I have added since the crash.

                                              That might help, I have been fucked over by icq so many times... i use to have it down to a skill.... 2002b or whatever is good... just

                                                      1. Back up all DBs from ICQ in case something doesn't work.

                                                      2. Reinstall ICQ

                                                      3. Add all ICQ #'s you had there before, hope that no one writes you, since this data will be deleted. Go into invisible right away.

                                                      4. Quit ICQ.

                                                      5. Copy the backup into the ICQ dir, overwriting the old DB files.

                                                      6. Restart ICQ.

                                                      Everything should be there. ICQ is a shitty fucking program. Backup everything everytime you upgrade, because the new versions always suck and have bugs.

                                                          AaronM try logging into http://lite.icq.com to get on your list, if anything you can get everyones # and manually add them back, maybe faster then trying all this stuff over and over.
