I see the Leafs have come back down to earth. Funny to see them tied for 7th when in reality, considering games played and all, they're sitting in about 11th or 12th. Is it the time of the year yet to say, "Wait till next year!"

DH, my brother has been on the waiting list for Master's passes since he was 6 years old. He's 40 now

Thankfully we have friends and family who have passes so he still gets to go but it always cracks me up there's such a long list.

I don't think so. If Ferguson tried to fire him, a power struggle would ensue and he would find himself on the way out.

Maurice is a good coach, but you can't do much with a team with as little talent as the Leafs have (that's right Leafland, they are NOT a team high on talent). The jury is still out on Ferguson, but it isn't looking very good. Admittedly, the environment he's working in probably isn't condusive to him making all the decisions he'd like to, so the assembled team PROBABLY isn't entirely his fault.

I do find it a little peculiar though that the recent nosedive started right after Ferguson had his option picked up. Player revolt perhaps? Whatever the case, Fergie is gone before spring training next year. UNLESS his team wins a playoff round. Even that may not save his ass. Anything less and he's surely toast.
