I still go, but when you go to events like Sensation a club cant really compete and you get bored quickly. I now only really enjoy a club if I am with the right group of friends. Other than that I get too bored and thus get too drunk.
I love the student clubs though where they dont fuck you off with the prices.Comment

eh, I think it all depends on the place you go clubbing and what kind of music you like.
I used to live in Montreal and they close down clubs at 3AM. Last I recall, Moomba was one of the hottest clubs and they would turn the lights on at 2:30 to make people leave. Not to mention the waiting in line and the crappy (old ) music... how many times can I really listen to fatman scoop - be faithful ?
Unsurprinsingly people in Montreal hated clubbing and were done with it pretty fast.
I'm in Europe right now and here it's a whole other experience. We usually hit the clubs after midnight, there's always really good house music and we can stay until 5, 6 in the morning.
It might be different in the US, but clubbing in Canada is really bad.Last edited by sheken; 11-06-2009, 03:27 AM.Comment

I never went out to clubs. It never interested me. I like to hit the bar now and again but the type of people at 'clubs' are not the type I have any interest in hanging around with (i don't have frosted tips, etc).you don't know you're wearing a leash if you sit by the peg all day..Comment

We used to laugh when we saw the occasional 30something (and even sometimes older) people in a club full of 18-23 year olds... now I'm 30something myself
:
There's a few "over 28" clubs around here but I haven't been game to try one... I'm over itComment

this new house music hype is the worst music ever... its more lounge music than party music and you see it in the crowds... its 'hip' and 'cool' to just go there, dont have a good time, but just to show yourself that youre there too to all the other followers. People hardly move, it has absolutely zero atmosphere. Worst type of music and hype ive experienced since i was born.eh, I think it all depends on the place you go clubbing and what kind of music you like.

strat rocks man. i grew up in there pretty much.I guess yanks can't start till 21, so thats probaby about right. i was over clubbing by about 21-22. I LOVE SPORTS BARS AND DIVES. my favorite places to go partying are usually grungy little rock/punk bars, with live bands, and cheap flat beer...
If anyone from Edmonton needs to understand my pace, my favorite place to get thrashed on a weekend is probably the Strat, maybe Blues on Whyte. Or Filthy's on bingo night. Seriosuly, Bingo night rocks ass...
i also still love the black dog, especially the rooftop, in the summer.we'll miss you our friend. RIPComment

I still go clubbing now and again to pick up (and drag home) women...

I wear Brut too - the chicks dig it (unless I go to an Asian club...then I wear Hai Karate!).

Same experience. I almost never club in the US as the bars here close at 2 am. In Brazil we can just be going out at 2 am.eh, I think it all depends on the place you go clubbing and what kind of music you like.
