I hate the fucking casino becuase of stupid players!

Lost $600 last night and i am going to vegas on tuesday. what a waste. i least i had a buddy there and told me it probly wasnt my night, probly saved me at least a few more hundred.

But i cannot stand people who do not know how to play blackjack, this idiot was hitting on 14s when the dealer had 2-6 and staying on 15 when the dealer had 10-A, who the hell are these people? and who the fuck taught them how to play?

My grandfather is a high roller (what can I say, he has more money than he knows what to do with) and he goes crazy when people don't follow the rules. He always just gets up as soon as someone like that sits down.

Cards work in runs, you have shoots with good runs and bad runs, you have to follow the way or the cards to keep a good shoot or switch up play on 1-2 hands different to change up a bad shoot.

its a 8 deck shoe, every card in itself is a statistical challenge, REGARDLESS of how other people play around you.

That's when blackjack becomes a problem, when you believe in all the little theories of how "good shoes and bad shoes come in pairs", or "you lost because of the guy before you". Give me a break

play your own cards, it makes NO difference how many people are sitting down, how stupid they play, if they double when they have a 20 and the dealer is showing a 6 or not.

The only way to win is for YOU to play strictly by the book, and not let any feelings and emotions get involved. The game is pure statistics and odds, nothing else to do with anything else.

EVEN if he hits and gets a 10, your odds of getting a 10 are still pretty much the exact same. So don't go blaming the other guy if you don't get your 10, because the odds are calculated at every hand, there is no predicting what cards are put where in the shoe, and what cards follow what.

the bottom line is, the other guy has a 58% chance of busting, and he is playing that risk, and you have a 42% chance of getting a 21, and you are taking those chances, regardless of what anybody else on the table does.

I hear ya Meta, drives me nuts when third base feels the need to deviate from basic strategy and change the dealers losing hand to a winning hand. However, as much as I get frustrated the same way you do, bdjuf is correct in that theoretically someone else's play does not change the statistics of you winning or losing.

Keep in mind, we tend to remember all those times when someone varied from basic strategy and caused us to lose, but disregard those times when their unorthodox moves caused the dealer to bust when they wouldn't have otherwise.

Play higher min limit tables and you'll weed out many of the idiotic players, if you play $5 black jack you're gotta expect some morons. Get up and leave when you see a player playing like you described, otherwise you'll put yourself through misery.

Sadly at the casino i live near the limits are pretty much the same throughout the entire casino.

He is right, it won't effect the outcome in the long run. On particular hands yes, but it is just as likely to help you as it is to hurt you. This has been proven time and time again by statistical tests and mathematical proofs.

You are wrong. You can't win in gambling long term. Sure you can lower the odds to a point where it's almost a coin flip as to who wins, but you'll never have an advantage over a casino long term unless you are an actual card counter or cheat.

Playing by "guts" and "instincts" is what makes casinos rich.

think about it this way... Ed Thorpe (the guy who invented card counting) realized right away that one 52 card deck has 32 or 34 million possible outcomes (forgot). 8 card deck... has...............

"good runs... bad runs" = "delusional and mathematically challenged"

the funny thing was tha the published a book about it... explained how to do it and all Vegas casinos thought they would have to stop blackjack completely... instead all the "Metamen" showed up with a plan and it became their biggest money maker.
