Yup, and the email they're sending to isn't even mine, I don't get why I'm receiving it, they are mailing addresses which resemble mine but only the first 3 letters or so.

oh shit, I am on sprintpcs and I just started getting a HUGE amount of txt chain letters the past few days, I have NEVER gotten those before 2 days ago

I called Telus ( my provider ) last week about that , since i use the BB as a monitoring tool of my servers .

After a nice girl listened to my complaint ( and understood nothing), she passed me over to a tech.

The guy confirmed that there was an actual BB server ( not the phone service provider ) that had been hacked, that they knew about it and were working on it ... and would let me know the progress ...

I told them that if I was to receive another spam email ( with attachments btw ) , I would be "working" on my next payment and would also let me know the progress...

So the tech, abit pissed, asked me what I wanted them to do...

I told them to change my account of server, or else I would cancel ... He said he would.

I didn't believe him, but since I have not received a single spam to my BB...

Regular email is another story ... Email has become worthless.

Ya its BS i get atleast 4-5 spam email a day now on my BB which i never did before, I think I will be calling Cingular tomo to bitch

nope. no spam email or sms messages to my BB e-mail. My pop3..one of which is forwarded and the other which is pulled is a different story however.

I'd be annoyed too, if you made some smart ass comment like that. It's not like they can magically fix everything instantly.

after over 2 months of increasing emails ....

I would like my clients to accept your way when a server is not fuctionning normally... or when I tell them I didn't know it was down because I didn't get or see the warning email because of spam ....
