    Most Funny/Favourite Comic Strips?

Which are you people's favourite or funniest comic strips? I mean the daily newspaper variety, in the lines of Calvin n Hobbes. Also which do you think have the best artwork? And finally do you have any favourite erotic comic strips? Links would be good too, if you have them.

    Dilbert.
That's exactly what I'm gonna become when/if I finally graduate.

horrible artwork though. Calvin & hobbes is very good too.
I like to read em both while taking a crap
    ..and I'm off.

Man, I wish Bill Watterson would come back to Calvin & Hobbes for just a year. He would make tons of money and us fans would be very happy. Hard to believe it has been 8 years since the last C & H strip. The strip was only published for 6 years.

Calvin & Hobbes and of course Peanuts were my favorites..
I have a friend in NYC that was married to Charles Shultz's editor and they have several original strips on their wall plus lots of sketches done for them by him.
My friend and his wife got to be good friends with "Sparky" in his last few years and said he was a genuine character. Said even though he was worth close to a billion he loved to get on his hands and knees and rummage thru the mini-bar and little fridge in the hotel room and always made sure everyone had a drink or snack in their hand lol..
I go to several comic book shows each year and this year I think I am going to be looking for an original Peanuts strip. A few years ago I almost picked one up for about $1K, but since Shultz's passing they are now running $4-5K average for a normal daily and $10K+ for a Sunday strip.

Thanks guys! Any more? Anyone read The Duplex? High up on the funny list. Liberty Meadows? Not very funny, but that guy Frank Cho sure can draw women! What about women lead character strips - any of those on your lists? Any not so common strips on your favourites?

Man, am I the only geek who plays role playing games? ; )

I like Knights of the Dinner Table. Some of them are just ok, but some are truly great entertainment.

Thanks, that's a few new strips I haven't seen before, though most of you seem to have CnH as your favourite.

Gaby, Mafalda seems great! Too bad it's in Spanish, too bad for me I mean.

Bloom County is amongst my favourites too, unfortunately I have only read a very few of those. Both the art and humour are similar to CnH.

Userfriendly, that's a new one to me. Might get to like it from my first experience.

Railz - Penny Arcade and Evercrest - dont remember reading those. Will have to search for them.

Zebra - Frank Cho's cavegirl comics are the hottest! His Cavegirl is so perfect, and his renderings of dinosaurs tearing at her are just awesome. If you can pick up a Cavegirl comic drawn by him don't miss it! You're gonna buy an original Shulz for over 1K?? Man, even I dont like comics that much!

Garfield irritates me too much for me to like him. I dont find it funny either for some reason. But most people do!

Dilbert, I like the humour, but as TeenGodfather says, horrible artwork. Still its style adds to the comedy a bit, maybe?

Jamdin, you sure are old school! I used to read all those too, big fan of Mandrake, Phantom and Tarzan in my childhood. Havent heard of Prince Valient tho. WIll have to check it out.

MrFiction - used to read Boondocks daily earlier. Some good work there!

Homegrownvideo - Knights of the Dinner Table ? That's a comic strip? Will have to look for those, sounds good, cos I like RPGs too.

The reason I asked is cause I'm planning on starting a comic strip. Just cant decide which type would work best, so this was kind of a poll. I have an idea and will probly go ahead with that - feels good to me. I am a good artist, only thing is not sure if my brand of humour will work. You guys will get to check it out soon! Of course just starting it out as a hobby for now.

So any other choices of comic strips?
