Everybody you've talked to is an idiot. A bottle of whiskey has been my tried and true cold remedy for years now. I get a cold, I hammer a bottle of whiskey and get sickeningly drunk, pass out, wake up the next day feeling like shit, then the day after that I'm good to go. I swear it pickles the infection right out of you. Gotta get that blood alcohol level up nice and high though.
