You shouldn't make that slow spin after you miss a kick, opened you up big time. Also turning your back is fatal, could just as easy had been a lose. Nice timed overhand though.

I was trying to set up what I did.. MY OG game plan was to go to the ground... or find a mistake he makes..

I noticed early on he came charging in everytime I spun after missing a kick... so I threw a head kick when he missed I did a double step back to step into the right...

all and all good times...

I have stand up to work on for sure... all fights could either be the W or the L im just glad im 1-0-0 now rather than 0-1-0 LOL... good times he was a great little boxer

Not bad. More balls than me for getting in the ring. 145 LBS is tiny weight class.
Congrats on the first win, keep working though some of the running away made it look sloppy.

Thanks.. Yeah.. I had to cut 15 lbs to make weight and still only got 146lbs but they allow a pound....

I put back on 12 lbs overnight and entered the ring feeling great... he was a fast boxer I know the avoiding the hits make it look sloppy were working on that.. but one thing I hate is getting hit... LOL... I know it's MMA and happends but I try to avoid it as much as possible ... he was fast... not knock out hard but fast and stingy hard if that makes any sense

Have you trained with Wandi himself at all? I was in vegas in July and drove by his gym. Pulled into the parking lot to see his Aston Martin DB9 with 'WAND' plates sitting there. I went to UFC 100.

nice knockout , but i have to agree with the other poster , you open yourself up trying to spin around after that kick doing it in 2 steps, you are way to slow, you are liable to get clocked in the back of the head by mistake. or walk into a fist when you turn around.

You have to spin back around in one smooth motion coming back to position. If he had hopped right after any of those missed kicks, he would have caught you with a vicious punch.

anyways its much easier being a critic than doing the fighting , kudos on the win.

That was a bad period of my life, I lost my first MMA fight about 2 weeks before, and I shouldn't have gone off the handle like that, Ramos was my friend, and drunk or not, it shouldn't have happened. That's the past. Last I talked to Ramos, life has been good for him, and I hope him and his family the best.
