I found 2k once in a parking lot where i worked. This woman came in hysterical that she lost 2k in the parking lot for her xmas presents. I gave it to her immediately, but if no one had asked, I'd have kept it

Lost I think like $50. When I was "younger" can't remember if I was 7 or 8 I found a wallet with $700 in It, showed my mom who turned It to the police, I got a finders fee of $70 so I was happy.
The most I ever lost was 800 bucks once when I lost my wallet. Most I ever found was 100 on a crowded sidewalk.
I used to play poker...and I was playing in a game and the action got a little slow...so I decided to go to another club. It was only three blocks down the street so I left my car behind and walked the three blocks. When I sat down at the new club and ordered chips I learned that my wallet was missing...it had around three thousand dollars in it...so that is the most I ever lost.
The most money I ever found...is when I started back tracking the three blocks...and found my wallet in front of the door of the previous club. Apparently no one had left or entered the club or my wallet would not have been in front of the door. Since then I never carry my wallet in my back pocket.
When you're running down my country hoss...you're walking on the fighting side of me!

I think the most I ever found was a $50 bill when the doors opened and there it was on the floor of the empty elevator.
Most I ever lost (other than from gambling :D) is probably something like $10 or $20, something inconsequential, because I can't remember any particular time when I lost money but I'm sure it's happened. If it was a huge amount I'd definitely remember it.
When I worked at a bar I went to the bathroom to take a leak. In one of the stalls was a wallet with 8 $100 bills. I looked at the name on the driver's license and had him called up to the DJ and got him his wallet back. He offered me $100 but I turned it down.
I've lost twenties several times but usually only one at a time.
Found - a billing company once sent my final wire twice, from memory it was about $3000. I could have ignored their request to send it back and there's probably not much they could have done, since I'm outside the USA and it was a 100% final payment (including rolling reserve). I sent it back though.
Lost - nearly lost $250 once when I thought the ATM hadn't issued it. I was pissed off and walked away. Luckily the person behind me was honest and called me back to take the cash sitting in the dispenser...
thank god i have never had to suffer loosing any money.
I however was really lucky once with having found a heaping amount of money. I went to the mall and parked my car and went inside. Turns out an older woman had as well gone to the mall that day and parked in the same isle as i did. She apparently had a bag with 50K in it that she didn't want to walk around the mall with. She went back to her car and placed the money inside the car and went about her business. When i returned to my car got in and went home i realized there was a bag in the back seat. When i opened it it was packed with cash. I got really scared and called the police. Turns out i had the same make and model car as the older woman and she had placed the bag in my car thinking it was hers. she was super grateful and offered me 500 dollars which i declined. Didnt think i had really done anything to deserve the money. The older lady instead took me out to dinner and we became great friends. She is much older now and has lost her vision and most of her hearing. I still drop in on her every so often to see how she is doing!
Most I ever lost - this one occasion, I scooted through an unlocked door into a banquet room at a hotel to bang my gf under a table at a hotel downtown chicago... took my wallet and phone, set them on the windowsill overlooking the river.
We were just about done when some people came in, aparently getting ready for some luncheon next day or something. We got a little spooked and headed out real quick... I forgot my wallet.
Went down the block, laughing and having a good time, found a restaurant. Ate, the bill came - fuck! Where's my wallet... oh, hell no! I ran back to the hotel, into the banquet room, and it was all set up for the next day. My phone ended up at the front desk, wallet did not. Said wallet had almost $3000 in cash, it was all I had at the time. Since then I've never kept big amounts of cash in my wallet, I always put it in my front pocket now.
The most I ever found was a swing the other way... I was about 19 years old, broke, and in Mesa AZ. My "friend" that I was staying with just told me that although I was broke and had nowhere to go, his pregnant fiance said I had to leave. This was about 11PM, I was pissed and planning on hitchhiking to Florida to meet up with some friends... when I spied, on the ground right in front of me, a hundred dollar bill. Greyhound fare to Fort Walton Beach FL was about $80 - I grabbed some smokes, a bus ticket, and headed on out.

I have never lost any considerable amount of cash -- but I lost a solid silver Dunhill cigarette lighter in a taxi in Miami. I then bought another one so my wife wouldn't find out, and then lost that one as well in England Gutted!!!
Found a cash deposit bag on the street one night late. Belonged to a local shoe store and had $800 in cash and big stack of checks. Returned it and got a free pair of shoes.
Found $20 on the street while riding my bike, just happened to look down.
I lost my wallet with credit cards and $80 while sailing a couple of years ago just off Miami Beach.
Found $10 in some woods near the house as a kid. Went bowling with it.
Paid with a $10 once at a mcdonalds drive thru when I was in my 20's and ate such things, change I got back contained a $20. Didnt notice til after lunch or I'da given it back.
most that ever fell out of my pocket was about $60. I had gotten change from a bar a while ago and put it in my pocket from a $100 bill and went to grab my phone and must of pulled the money out too.
ive only found small amounts, but when we were kids my brother found $300 in Target. my parents made him turn it into the lost and found (which i cursed them for) but a few weeks later we got a call from the store manager saying no one claimed it and my brother and i got a shopping spree
my friend worked at a car rental place and told me that he once found over $10k in an envelope when someone returned the car. he said he was going to keep it until he went through the envelope to find it was paying for doctor bills. the guy called a few hours later asking if he left an envelope under the seat and he said he found it. the guy came in and gave him $1,000 for it.
but ive lost a ton with lending money to friends and family... bad idea... really bad
I remember one time thinking I had lost about 300 bucks at a club only to find out later during the week that, drunk, I had paid for a group of friends to get in.

Found:
Rescued a fifty dollar bill in the middle of the street while riding in a taxi. Actually the driver spotted it, and couldn't jump out because he was driving. The lights were on red so I jumped out (at his suggestion) and grabbed the bill then had it in my hand and said to to the driver "so we're going to split this right?" and given that possession is 9/10th's of the law he reluctantly agreed to share it. Got my fare for free basically.
Lost:
$12,000 To this day Proadult still hasn't paid its bills to me for 6 months of plug-in feeds services dating back 3-4 years. Fucking Assholes!!!

22 years ago when i was 16 i went on holiday to Spain without my parents for the first time, i found a wallet on top of my locker with Hfl. 600 in it (about 250euros) the first day. Mind you that this is a long time ago, the entire 10 day trip was 200 i think. I was happy as hell and we (my friend andi) kept it. We had just a little more fun, took some poor guy out to dinner and afterwards wondered how we could have managed without the extra money. We did feel guilty the entire time though, even now i feel sorry for the kid who also saved to go there maybe for the first time. Entire different experience for the both of us, he might be telling the same story from his point of view elsewhere to this day:/
