Always sucks when good things change

In college my friends and I used to go every Monday to this bar for their wing buffet. It was only like $9.95 and came with a pitcher of their house beer which was really good (and I dont like beer).

They had like 8 different types of wings and these amazing potato fries called "duchies." Basically, potatoes cut up vertically so they were just a bunch of circles of goodness and dipping them in ranch dressing was the highlight of the week. They would also have random shit like hot dogs, macaroni salad, sometimes ribs.

Well we havent been there in like 5 years so we decide to make a trip back to watch the Eagles game. I call to ask if they still have the wing special and they said yes. i was STOKED! all i could think about yesterday was hanging out, watching the game and loading my face with hundreds of calories.

Then we get there... no wing buffet and they don't sell their beer anymore

Price went up a few bucks, but no big deal, but the whole thing stunk. You got your first order of wings about 10 minutes after you ordered them and you about a dozen. They only had like 6 flavors and pretty much all blew.

When you re-order, they would bring you six at a time. Took between 10-15 minutes to get each re-order and they would get more and more burnt and nasty as the night went on.

We left about an hour after being there. Drove 30 minutes back to my friends place and went to another bar... what a downer

There's actually a shortage of chicken wings, and wings actually now cost restaurants more than breasts. That's why you see more and more places selling "boneless wings" - and why you had the problems you did.
