i had a bone marrow transplant a few years ago....and over time my type O blood changed to the donors type B blood....

My dad and I both have A negative, which apparently is pretty rare. The local Red Cross would call him to come donate when I was growing up, but I was too young. They finally let me when I was 15 or 16, but he had to sign something. I haven't thought about it in a long time, but they never call me anymore.

I am also A- and I try to give blood but they keep having too much trouble finding veins and tell me the needles are too big to go hunting. A- women are also at higher risk for blue babies for some reason.
