Montreal's Gay Village (The Village, French, Le Village gai or simply Le Village) is located on Saint Catherine Street East, centred on Beaudry metro station, and on Amherst Street in the Ville-Marie borough of the city. The Village runs approximately from Berri Street to De Lorimier Street on Saint Catherine Street, and between Sherbrooke Street and René-Lévesque Boulevard on Amherst Street, a distance of nearly two kilometres, making it the largest in North America in terms of scope of the complete area.

I've never been to Montreal. I really want to go someday. I've heard it's a beautiful place.

yeah I want to see how much the rentals are in the village, but when I search online I dont now the neighborhood to put into the search

and btw whats a 1 bedroom? is that a 1 1/2? a 2 1/2?

2 1/2 could just be an L shaped room - but 2 distinct living areas...
3 1/2 has a seperate bedroom...

a 1 1/2 is just a room with a bathroom.. studio apartment

So do you know what that area is called? If I just look for "village" it brings up a lot of areas

We always just call it 'The Village', or 'Gay Village'.. or 'Village East'
It's near the Latin Quarter.. but short of that, I'm not sure how you'd specifically find it! It's in Ville Marie - but Ville Marie is a larger area that inclues more than just the Village...

A one bedroom is a 2 1/2 :

1/2 : bathroom
1 :bedroom
1: small main area with lab kitchen

some will see it as a 3 1/2:

1/2 : bathroom
1 :bedroom
1: kitchen
1: living area
