What's a good keyword density percent?

I'm guessing there's sweet spot between not using keywords enough for SE's to credit you - and spamming them on the page so much they penalize you.. no?

Look at the top 10 sites for the phrase you are looking for. Figure out their percentage. Put yourself somewhere between the hi and lo %'s.

It isn't going to be the same for everyone.

What he said. Also, don't be too technical about it. Don't figure out 7,43% and then have it on all pages. Make it varying, thus giving more of a natural structure to it.

About 10% is good I read in some article. But at some point, if your keyword density exceeds 15% (or some number like that), Google will call it keyword spamming and give you a lower ranking. Look up maximum keyword density. Dangerous to have the % too high, the search engines don't like that.

The answer is what ever looks real and like it was written or explained without trying to seed keywords.

In 1000 words you want to say black cock about as much as you would if you were having a real conversation, or reading a descriptive essay, about black cocks.

There is no 'perfect' or 'set' number for keyword density, that is 'hired gun' smoke and mirrors.

Write your text legitimately and keep on niche, and you wont ever have to worry about silly percentages like that.
