Thanks mate -- I read online in a carpentry forum that in small spaces, such as I have, you should use a diagonal pattern for the boards as it makes the space look larger. I am very pleased with the end result. I am going to put some waterproofing on it tomorrow -- and it will be ready for enjoying (next year...)
