I'm in Florida...and yes we loose power a lot in hurricane season...I rather have that though then freezing cold. The coldest it gets here in winter is 70 degrees...its usually around 75 in Dec. Jan. and Feb it gets into the 80sComment

I grew up in FL and personally, you couldn't pay me to move back. I like seasons. North GA is perfect for me - warm in the summer, mildly cold in the winter But I have to admit, I LOVE cold weather. I'd rather be cold than hot.
