Airport officials said Friday they will consider setting aside a private area for prayer and meditation at the request of imams concerned about the removal of six Muslim clerics from a US Airways flight last week.

Steve Wareham, director of Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, said other airports have "meditation rooms" used for prayers or by passengers who simply need quiet time.

what the fuck they need room for? Good friend of mine was working in Burkina Faso for land development company and was telling me how those boys would stop working in the middle of day, run to some dirt hole with water wash their hands, feet and balls and go at it for all mighty Allah…
Why don’t they build me catholic prayer room in Karachi or Teheran.

You guys that are saying "fuck them" have obviously never been waiting to board your plane while some guy faces outside praying.

I will admit, it is a little unnerving. Put them off in a little room, that works for me, but yeah, it should be the same chapel everyone else uses.

I think religion belongs in private. I don't consider an airport to be private.

Prayer rooms also pose security issues. It could conceivably be a gathering place for people with bad intents. It doesn't take alot of terrorists working as a team to cause havoc.

I vote no.
