    "Tube" styled members area

    Been thinking of using streaming for a new niche project. Advantages is of course rebills, disadvantages I guess lagging and buffring problems. I don't really feel like giving away niche content for $24.95/month. Anyone running this kind of members area and can recommend scripts etc? Most scripts tends to do everything else like grabbing content from galleries, converting them to flv, linking to sponsors etc, I don't need that.

    So does anyone have any experiences?

          I had Mansion customize MAS a tube style members area for me and I use Adobe FMS for the streaming. 4000kbps big hd files play like a charm off of it with very little buffering.

              thanks, visited their site and watches the demo videos. To bad they aren't bigger, but it does look good.

                      Sounds extremly good. Guessing that they charged you a big chunk of bills for that?

                          Changed Claudia-Marie.Com over to a "tube" on members and tour. I use Mechanical Bunny for the basic backbone and then we tweaked it to do what I want.

                                      MAS costs 4500 the customizations were another thousand or so, FMS $1000, other than that I bought a dedicated server for it. so yeah, costs a bit. Its not live yet, but it's slick and the members are going to love it for sure.

                                      Mansion by the way, has treated me extremely well. They're very accessible and available and are ready to jump up and provide support or complete customizations promptly for a fair price. I highly recommend them if you like working with people who seem to give a shit about what you want.
