    What do you all think of posting bots to get a small board going?

    I have another board, not webmaster related, and it's obvious I have a lot of posting bots who registered. I dont really understand it but I guess theyre programs that just make a shitload of posts.

    The board is small and slow. So should I ban them, or welcome them? Because they do keep my board moving along, but theyre fucking stupid posts like

                  I always notice they will reply consecutively with nonsense or unrelated replies or a shitload of pics one after the other

                      Do the accounts post links or have a sig which has links in it? If not then sooner or later the real spam will come out.

                          Just make it so you have to login to view the posts, that way you get the posts and members without hurting your SE rank.

                          I would say let them run for about 6 months then drop the bomb.
