The information, provided by an iPhone app called Offender Locator, helps Rodriguez make more informed choices, she says. When the app pops open on her phone, there is an eerie sketch of a man's face. Then, the app asks for an address.
"I am constantly worrying about the well-being of my family," says Rodriguez, who uses the app several times daily. "You can't be too careful."
Since the iPhone launched more than two years ago, a handful of crime-fighting tools have emerged among the thousands of innovative apps. They give ordinary citizens the capability to sleuth and guard themselves against crime. Users can conduct a background check during a dinner date or avoid walking through a high-crime area.

I have mixed feelings about this app, on one hand kinda neat technology, on the other, are you that fucking paranoid that you think every stranger that walks by is a potential child molester?
Pandora - Music
NPR news - Current news clips
Babelgum - Funny or die and other funny video clip sites
iFitness - GREAT workout log program
Shazam - Identifies music
Nice to see just about everything listed has a google ap version so far.
Yup no I phone here, not only does their coverage up here sort of blow. I can change the battery in my phone.
-Pandora is a must, PLUS it never stops playing music and asks you to pay like the website does on your computer
-Trapstar LOL, enough said
-Beatmaker - I bought this app for $25 and it easily turns the iPhone into $xxx-$xxxx worth of beat making and mixing equipment. So insane! It's not a little toy app either it's very sophisticated.
Wait are you actually posting a way and supporting not paying for apps?
Not about to visit the site but if that is the case that is some seriously fucked up shit.
