Can I ask why you don't like NATS other than having some bad experience with ratios of some sponsors (which is a horrible way to compare the performance of one program to another)?

Yea, that's a factor. And I agree it's not a good enough reason to ban NATS, which I don't. I'm not against trying out NATS sponsors, i'm just pulling the plug quicker than I would with other places if they don't pull a profit.

My biggest reason is watching a sponsor go from my normal 1:220 or so ratio to 1:400 after the switch. Also finding out I lost 35 sales ($1,050) in that period because they weren't "qualified" sales, and to become "qualified" (from my understanding) among a few other rules, they also must not have signed up to any other sites in the network in the past month, and they also must log into the site to count.

I run a review type of site, so it's very probable someone may come to my site, find a mature site, sign up and enjoy it. Come back a week later and find a black girl site and enjoy that too. Those two sites are under the same network, so I only get one sale even though the company is making money from the guy for two sites. (that is how I understand it works)

I understand the reasoning behind that rule, sponsors don't want the same guy signing up 4x to the same site in a month under the trial period, but imo that should be a case by case fraud investigation if that's happening. Websites offer trials, I shouldn't be faulted because I have bookmark visitors who will occasionally take advantage of that. I also shouldn't be skimped if someone is a full member to two sites under the same network.

Just my on that. I find it shady that some sponsors use that option with NATS and don't even tell affiliates the proper rules. I want to know exactly what's considered a qualified signup so I can do my part to prevent unqualified sales before it even goes to the sponsor.

Also, the not logging in thing is weird. I understand it prevents bots from signing up, giving the person the sale and quitting, but am I to be skimmed $30 each time a real person signs up and can't figure out how to log in, or forgets he had a membership? The sponsor has no problem billing the person if they forget, why should I be screwed out of it?

If i'm wrong on how NATS works, please correct me as those are also main reasons why I don't like that program. Thanks

I understand your points. These features were integrated as a requirement for a client of ours which I believe is the program you are referring to.

The ratio is a really bad way of comparing performance because no two softwares count hits exactly the same.

As far as the fraudulent signups. They are invalid signups. I understand it might hurt to see them there but at least the program is being upfront with you about how many invalid signups there were. Too many people in this business would much rather just hide them from you. We require our clients to be upfront about it.

Regarding exactly how the fraud detection works I've heard a few people tell me how it works and some have a had a general idea and some have been far off. We can't tell anyone EXACTLY how it works or it defeats the purpose of being an anti-fraud feature. If the theif knows exactly how the safe works he can break in pretty easily.

I hope you realize that we're always open to suggestions and ideas on how to approve the software for everyone. We value affiliates input just as much as our clients input and always welcome it. You are always free to contact us directly and offer your suggestions and input. NATS has been built from day one to be upfront and honest with affiliates. If you do not like the rules/terms of a program you are free not to promote it. We can't dictate how they run their business we can only watch that they do it honestly.
