How to live on a RV mobile home?

I just wonder how a person can live in a RV mobile home in either the US or Canada? How do we know where to park the RV? How long can we stay at one spot? How much do we have to pay for the spot?

You can live in them just fine, I know people that have. They had two road runner business lines installed to it for Internet too. Most parks you can stay as long as you want if they are year round and you pay for that.

There are a lot of RV parks around the country. Heck there are plenty in California.

To find out where to stay, just do a search for "rv parks" at google. Even better is google maps, try "rv parks las vegas". Many state and national parks have rv parks near or on site.

Many highways have RV park signs on the roads to direct as well.

Cost varies and can be paid by the day, week, month or longer. Rates include power, sewage and water hookup and usually wifi. Some walmart stores offer free parking overnight, but check with the store manager before hand. Otherwise you may get woken up in the middle of the night by the local cops.

It's a great way to travel. You always have your shit with you and you always sleep in your own bed.

Just be careful and don't do this:

The parking is pretty simple, hell even wal mart allows parking. As others said there are tons of parks, some are pay by night, others you can join and stay at all parks owned by them. Then you have national parks and all that.
Your real watch out is finding places to dump. Refilling water, gas, etc. thats easy. Septic, not so easy.

I know I could get my bank to auto deposit checks if I have them mailed to a special address that I would pay a little extra for. You could also use epass or whatever. Then for shits and giggles just put your plate number down as your 2257 address.

Our grandparents are always gone in theirs. Only thing I would change if I was them would be to purchase either a scooter, motorcycle, or a mini and tow it. Preference would be a scooter though. Easier to store and cheaper.

There are a lot of things you need to learn to change in your life though. Keeping few possessions is a major one. Always storing shit down when moving is another. Not using lots of water or gas unless your near access. That sort of stuff.

Wal Mart will actually let you stay overnight in their parking lot.

My wife and I bought small Toyota RV a few months back and were going to hit the road with it for a few months but one thing after another happened and our trip got cancelled.
Here are a couple of sites we had saved in our favorites.

There is also a popular Yahoo group called "toyota-campers" that has very good resources listed in their links section.
If you are serious I would highly suggest joining that group to do some reading.

In my opinion you should DEFINITELY get AAA for your RV or something similar if you are going to be traveling far.
My first short trip in the RV cost me $4k and more headaches then I even want to discuss when the motor blew up in the middle of nowhere.
