these discussions seem pointless, like a shop owner counting the people walking past his shop...

The real question is matching the seller with buyers and that means good signposting.

Hence review sites have far better racios than just lists...

Also maybe 10 out of a 1000 want XXXPorn and only 1 out os 1000 XYPorn but the clever move is to get all 11 sales not either the 10 or the 1..

Mix it up a little. Try a variety of sites to promote over a course of 1 month. Take notes, review statistics and test as much as you can. Then determine what converts best with your traffic and go from there.

Then that is terrible for that type of traffic.

But if your 'SE' traffic isn't coming from the top 3 slots its not that far off.

You are going to convert drastically higher on positions 6 through 10 then in the top 3.

its quite weak. with one 1 sponsor that i started blogging for in late july im at 1/1300. only SE and directory traffic. with this sponsor im expecting 1/800 once i gather momentum.
