I'm meeting my birth brother for the first time tomorrow... *gasp

Talked on the phone once 9 years ago and once today. He found me a few days ago to tell me that my birth mother died... killed herself actually... ON my birthday even... nice eh? She suffered her whole life long with drug addiction.. heroine, mostly.. meth at the end. 7 kids total. This one is 32, very stable regardless of being in 52 foster homes.. similar situations for all of them actually... and he lives like 40 minutes away.

I'm NERVOUS... We clicked very well when we spoke years ago on the phone and again today same thing so I'm sure it will go good. Blah anyway... Crazy week that's for sure. Wish me luck!

Wow..I actually met my twin brother for the first time about 10 years ago.Mom gave him up for adoption 35 years ago when the old man left her with 3 kids..back then the child support laws were non existant and they didn't support.I'm sure you'll have plenty to talk about

I never met my father until i was 19. I'm 40 now. When I turned 40 I thought to myself this is the age he was when we first met. That was weird.

That's a very sad story.

My father died when I was nine months old. My grandmother - my father's mother - calls me one day to tell me my sister is looking for me. "But Grandma, I don't have a sister". Turns out I did but this information was just the start. I quickly flew home to NJ to meet her, only to discover I had a brother as well, both born by differnet mothers. Surprise.
