People that diss English food are the same people that think we drink tea and eat crumpets all day, or that everyone here has bad teeth. Usually the Americans, who listen to Hollywood and TV more than anything else. Speaking as a Brit who used to live in the USA, the average restaurant in the USA is much, MUCH better than the average restaurant in England.

But then the average pub in England is much, MUCH better than the average bar or pub in the USA.

I haven't lived in Englad for over 8 years, but every time I go back to vist the folks, I am amazed at the number of cuppas brewed.
