I was wondering if some of you designers could explain something to me..
I've been looking at a lot of you guys' portfolios and price pages and it strikes me as a bit odd that tgp galleries can be had for as little as 10-20$, but a header design is at the very least 3-4 times that much and often a lot more. The way I look at it, most tgp galleries have graphics in the header too, so why the large price difference?Comment

Since no-one has answered, I will take a guess, which is that gallery headers are inspired by and can be put together from the sponsor's existing graphics. Also there is frequently the chance to re-use some or all of the elements when someone orders multiple galleries. On the other hand, a unique site header has to be dreamed up and made from scratch, with a minimal opportunity to use existing components.
That would be a passably logical explanation, but at the prices you quoted, you are basically talking about people who don't cost their time reasonably in the first place. So most likely they simply match or undercut what most others are asking and the more competition there is, the lower the price.Comment
