    Speed tests (forum down time made me do it lol)

    Since its late at night and not a ton of net traffic decided to do some speed tests

    Atlanta


    Kansas city


    Springfield Mo


    Chicago


    San Jose


    For the Canuks Brandon, MB


    San Diego



    Some of the test servers just won't handle my speed lol. Even the closer ones a few of them ping great, but just don't have enough ummph to push more than what I can download I guess. Im going to do some tweaking and see if I can't get this connection to push a bit more. Rated at 50/10 and Id say getting pretty close to what is advertised.

    Anyone else wanna do some multi location tests and post results?

              Was 3 in the morning and I was checking to see how much I was losing speed wise by having it through the router to directly to the modem. Answer to that was "not much" lol and had some tests that actually were faster via the router, but think that was just coincidence. Linksys wrt54g and was trying to see whether it was worth it going to buy a new one or not and stepping up to something possibly faster. Wireless that may be true, but I use my laptop mainly for surfing or watching hulu, and built in card in this laptop is just a G, and I have no desire to have an external card for it. Next laptop (prob round Christmas) will have a built in N and Ill upgrade then I guess.
