This war is achieving many goals...
1. Jihad by proxy - fight anyone who wants to scrap over there not here, this includes Syrians, Iranians, Saudi Arabians etc. Most of the insurgency is of foreign influence.
2. Justice. Saddam gave us the opportunity because of the UN resolutions he had violated for years. Also after we left in 1991 he went on a killing spree of Shiites. It was our responsability to protect those people because we encouraged them to overthrow Saddam in 91 and they failed.
3. Oil. Albiet not as big of a reason as you may think, the oil of the middle east is and always has been of Western interest. Hell without our technical know how and our companies those fuckers would have zero power to even maintain anything other than a small parcel of land. That oil is ours too, always has been always will be.
4. Profit. Companies always make money in war, last time I checked we were a capitolist nation. Stop being a player hater, there are many in this country that would say the pornographers are the shameful ones not Halliburton.Comment
