Honestly how hard is it? Make your thread when you have the model ready to go, along with the markers and such. It's not like it takes long to fill up the first 20 posters in a fansign thread. You can be shooting and uploading while the thread is refreshing. Then you can always get to the next 20 posters the next day. That still only amounts to about 2-3 days max.

Lots of people play favorites when making fansigns too. I get sick of that shit. Out of 30 requests for fansigns, only 10 end up getting made and those are just for the "cool" people. If you aren't going to honor requests from everyone, don't offer or just offer via email.
