but for those of you who won't watch the vids here you go with the cliff notes..

Kramer: "50 years ago we'd have you upside down with a fork in your ass"
Black man "He said, 50 years ago you'd be hanging upside down from a tree"

Kramer: "they are going to arrest me for calling a black man a hahahahahaha"
Black man "he said, I have enough money to have you arrested hahahahahaha"

Kramer: "You see, there are still those words, those words, those words, (walks off the stage)
Black man: "it just got totally silent, it took all the air out of the room, he just dropped the mic and left the room, there was never i'm sorry no nothing"

Note the room was NEVER quiet, in fact the camera SHOWS lots of varios black people shouting "Cracker Ass Cracker" at Kramer, and a few actually starting to go tword the stage, THAT is when kramer left the stage.

bottom line imho it was THE MEDIA who has blown this out of whack, watch the two vids, compare for yourself and stop being such fucking sheep

Kramer shouldn't have said that. However, it is not as big of a deal as the media makes it out to be IMO. He knows it was a terrible slur, he just got really mad and went nuclear. If Martin Lawrence had called a bunch of guys crackers as they got kicked out, would it have mattered? No. Would I still think Martin was funny? Yes.

I'd been wondering why the CNN story didnt contain clips of Richards using the phrases that the interviewed man said he'd witnessed.

Whats still missing is the entire home video from before Richards went loco. If he was pissed off at a heckler, why aren't we being shown the heckler heckling? Only the aftermath?

Pretty fucked up regardless, but I'd like ot see what caused him to go off like that. Had he tried to shut the heckler up before he snapped? Usually people build up to the breaking point.

Well even our cars these days have chips so that accident investigators can review the data to see who was at fault before the accident. They can see if you tried to hit the brakes, or turn the steering wheel, or if your transmission broke and lots of other data. It doesnt just record the aftermath. So with a home video circulating of his entire act, why do we only see it from the beginning of his pissed off out of control rant instead of from the beginning of the tape? Or is that when someone pressed record?

I'm not just talking about CNN or television. We know they're not going to show the whole thing. But what about youtube or other internet file sharing sites? Did the video shooter upload the entire thing yet? Thats what I'd prefer to see for myself. I dont like spoon fed opinion. If the entire tape is not uploaded, it makes me question why not.

although I do agree with your statement that there could have been many reasons as to why he went 'nuts' on stage, the fact remained that he IS a comedian. And that heckling is part of the business - how many comedians have been thrown off stage by bottles thrown at them etc. but they certainly didn't reply in anger. What happened was the crowd showed Kramer as a bad comic - someone with little talent to make people laugh, and he hated that. So rather than face the truth, he went over the line.

Even comics who were there - agreed that no matter how bad the crowd gets, you simply do NOT cross a line. CNN and news alike are blowing this all out of proportion - but what is really at the center of all this - is a man who simply couldn't handle the truth being thrown at him, and he had a meltdown and fought back the only way he could based on his talent - in a weak hailstorm of poorly crafted remarks.

to my knowledge (which is often wrong) the home footage is all the home footage, and was taken with a camera phone, the video was started when all the shit went down, so from what I understand from the ppl at TMX that footage is all there is.... however watch the CNN footage again, notice they use B/W footage from that club from that night in crystal clear quality, which means there IS a pro. tape out there, but bet your ass it will be mutilated b4 we see any of it.

secondly, please stop saying stupid shit like "meltdown" & "Lost it" there was nothing like that during the footage you have seen, what was shown was something that EVERY DECENT comic does, rythem in speaking (go watch anything from Carlin)

the underlying proof that there was NO loosing it or meltdown is the last words of the "meltdown"

"ohhh ohhh, it shocks you see, it shocks you, you see whats buried underneth you motherfuckers?"

how many people during a meltdown would bother to say something like that?
