Had this idea, seems the whole internet is more interested in buying just movie clips instead of memberships....

So, that being said I as thinking, everyone says adapt, try new ideas

I chat with alot of old members and new ones, many say the one thing thats stops them for joining a site is hidden sales, reblling after they have cancelled etc.....

Many posts here talk of tubes ruining this biz, I am sure of that also, however, I felt we needed to take this idea as close to tubesas possible, not to mention the fact that with the economy people are more likely to go or a lower price. To spend one sum may scare them off, but to be able to buy 1 or2 or more clips they may go for

I remember times of going shopping and before i left saying I am only going to get what I need, then fillling my cart with tons of stuff, why? Because it was cheap

Dunno, jjust an idea

yes and from time to time give them some points so that they can watch some content for free if they give away their e-mail.

That would be how you set your site up. You just put example clips in the free area and all paid for by tokens in the premium section.

I've used amember for a couple years and they have been helpful along the way. i.e. it was taking a long time for members to sign up for free on my site because I had many members, I started a ticket with them and they fixed it (after a few emails). I would not say support is the greatest but if your persistent I have found them to get the job done. Custom programming is available and is reasonable.

why are you using aMember when CCBILL, Epoch, NATS all do member management already?

you cannot signup members for free with ccbill (don't know about the others).

IMO this is what all tubes should be doing... offer nothing unless an email and username is provided... then give them something but always push them to pay. It makes so much sense to me.

why would i give you 8 bucks to watch a clip you did when i can go to tube8 and find a clip just like yours for free?

in HD for that matter. or on my fucking iphone..

filming a clip with yourself as talent...

How much does that cost? One of the keys might be pricepoint. Adultwork does that, clip selling with a free membership, but the prices are lower. There is a resistance level at a certain price, so selling a packet of "credits" and then letting the user decide seems to work.
