GFY Outages. Nothing to do with Jupiter Hosting, they don't run those servers

1st, I want to apologize for the outages this weekend.

I also wanted to clarify that it has nothing to do with Jupiter Hosting. We host at Jupiter, but they do not manage the servers for us. They don't even have admin access to the GFY servers. They are managed by Playboy IT.

Jupiter's been great and their bandwidth is second to none.

I gotta imagine its difficult to manage a board this busy. only so many ways to lay off the balancing.

Nah. It would be easy. They just don't put the resources they should into the site, and their tech team may be lacking in the optimization department. I've seen way more run with way less resources.

Had the same problem a couple of weeks ago: I was unable to reach GFY from Belgium (got 2 different ISP's) for about 2 days. (worked fine when I used a UK proxy). Routing problems on Jupiter Hosting's side? or does GFY block half the internet when there's a DDoS attack or something like that?

Thanks for note. Jupiter Hosting provided direct managed hosting support for GFY before the Playboy merger. I think we did a pretty good job. Now, a couple years later, I think we should undertake this effort again.
